Irene Ramquist

Irene Ramquist Beloit Irene Ramquist, age 101, of Beloit died Saturday February 23, 2013 in her home. Irene was born June 20, 1911 to the late Vernard and Ethel (Hirst) Helser in Portage, WI. She married Carl H. Ramquist on September 1, 1934. He preceded her in death on December 30, 1987. Irene was a wonderful homemaker and an accomplished organ and piano player. She enjoyed all types of music, reading and needlework. Irene also enjoyed watching tennis and bowling on TV. She is survived by her two sons, Carl H. (Sandy) Ramquist of Beloit and Claude (Lynn) Ramquist of Grover, NC; her daughter, Darlene Breden of Beloit; two daughters in law, Nancy Ramquist and Sharon Ramquist; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl, her two sons, Tex & Roy, her son in law, Richard Breden, her two brothers and two sisters. Irene’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 27, 2013 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Gene Van Galder officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following Irene’s Funeral the cortege will process to Turtleville Cemetery for interment.
