Obituary
Richard A. Graham, age 92, of Belvidere, IL died Tuesday March 20, 2018 at Willowick in Clinton. He was born February 9, 1926 to the late John and Esther (Brolander) Graham in Minot, North Dakota. Richard left high school at 15 and enlisted into the U.S. navy. Where he served his nation and witnessed some events we now read about in the history books. Richard was a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church, where he served as an usher for 40 years. He worked as a truck driver at Consolidated Freight Lines for 30 years, navigating 4 million miles and earning the coveted “Safe Driver Record” Award. Richard enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and tinkering with cars. He was an active father and grandfather, who embraced the challenges of babysitting his grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his two children, Richard (Ruth) Graham Jr. of Beloit and Kelly (Dennis) Olson of Caledonia; seven grandchildren, Matt Graham, John Graham, Pete (Arlene) Klinkhammer, Stephanie (Bob) Burt, Erin Olson, Evan Olson & Ethan Olson; his five great grandchildren, Paige, Ruthann, Nicole, Lacie & MacKenzie; and his sister, Patricia Wise.
He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.

Richard’s Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon on Saturday, March 24, 2018 in ST. STEPHEN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 716 Shular Lane, Clinton with Fr. Michael Resop officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday in the Church from 1100 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Full Military Burial Rites will be accorded in the Church parking lot following the service.
