Darlene J. Eberdt

Darlene J.  Eberdt age 87 died Sunday March 31, 2024 at Cedar Crest in Janesville. She was born January 2, 1937 to the late Alfred & Lucille (Mussehl) Sunne in Edgerton, WI. Darlene graduated from Edgerton High School, class of 1954. She married David L. Eberdt on July 1, 1961 at Central Lutheran Church in Edgerton. Darlene was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Janesville. She worked as a typist clerk at the DMV in Madison and as a sales clerk at K mart until her retirement. Darlene was an avid bowler and was an active member of WIBC.

She is survived by her husband; her three children, Cheryl Marquardt, Michelle (William) Tyler & Shaun (Krista) Eberdt; her eight grandchildren, Sarah (Ben) Manski, Cory Burnett, Hannah (Brad) Davis, David Tyler, Kyne (Amber) Calkins, Alexander (Beka) Thompson, Dane Tyler, Daniel Eberdt & eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents & son Robert “Ole” W. Weeks Jr.

Darlene’s funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday April 5, 2024 at ST. PETER’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1422 Center Avenue, Janesville with Rev. Bruce A. Gray officiating. Friends will be received on Friday in the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
