Michael "Mike" McCurdy

Michael McCurdy, age 62 of South Beloit, died Saturday, March 30, 2024 in his home. He was born December 30, 1961 to Floyd and Lorraine (Meuret) McCurdy in Caledonia, IL. Mike attended North Boone High School. He enjoyed working in his garage, especially building Hot Rods and repairing cars. Mike was meticulous in maintaining his yard and was a proud South Beloit resident. He loved spending time with his two dogs, Rex & Roxy.

Mike is survived by his parents, Floyd and Lorraine McCurdy; his son LaVerne McCurdy and his girlfriend, Brooke Woods; his ex wife, Billie Jo Vaughn; his brother, Kevin (Carol) McCurdy; his sister, Vicki (Mike) Cleland; his aunt, Joyce Hale, his two uncles, Jerry (Barb) McCurdy & Dave McCurdy and his two best buddies, Rod & Jimmy. He is further survived by his dog, Roxy.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the care they gave Michael.

Mike’s Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday April 12, 2024 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Friends will be received on Friday in the Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
