Bertram H. Klein

Bertram H. Klein age 88 of Beloit WI died Friday, December 27, 2019 at home after a short illness. He was born June 30, 1931 in Sharon, WI the son of Bertram O. and Robelia E. (Guffey) Klein.  Bert graduated from Beloit Memorial High School class of 1949,  he then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and honorably served for four years. While serving his country he met a nurse trainee and his future wife Nancy Jeannette Coder.  After completing his tour in the Air Force they married on February 22, 1955, in Boalsburg, PA and moved to Wisconsin. The marriage was blessed with a son, Allen in 1957. Bertram worked at the Beloit Corporation as a Maintaince Foreman until he retired in 1986. Bert also served as a volunteer fire fighter for the Town of Beloit for 20 years.  He was a Badgers, Brewers and Packers fan. Bertram was a proud Life member of the VFW. Bert also enjoyed camping and fishing trips, working in his shop at home and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his son Allen and several nieces and nephews.

Bertram was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette, his parents and his sisters Katherine (Donald) Hamil, Ruth Ann (George) Ohler and Mary Klein.

Graveside Services for Bertram will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday March 22, 2020 in the Baldwin Cemetery with Rev. Gene Van Galder officiating.  Full Military Burial will be accorded to conclude the service. Please share a memory or a condolence with the Klein family on our website.
