Carol Oswald Obituary

Carol A. Oswald age 91, of Beloit died Tuesday February 26, 2019 in her home. She was born September 9, 1927 to the late Harlow and Edna (Haucke) Rockwell in Kewaunee. Carol graduated from Kewaunee High School, class of 1946. She married Donald K. Oswald on February 7, 1948 in Algoma, WI. He preceded her in death on November 18, 2002. Carol was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and an active volunteer in the community. She embraced her role as a homemaker and the joy of being a mother. Carol enjoyed gardening, canning and making pickles. She also enjoyed bowling, her friends and cribbage at Grinnell Hall. Carol was a loyal Packer backer and Brewer fan. She will be fondly remembered playing cards with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Bob) Riley and Judy Oswald, both of Beloit; five grandchildren, Barbara Riley, Patrick (Lisa) Riley, Nathan (Genevieve) Oswald, Logan Oswald and Westley (Becky) Oswald; three great grandson, Nicholas, Jack and Noah Riley; her brother in law, Ray Baier and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Don, her two sons, Larry & Jimmy, two brothers and a sister.

Carol's Funeral Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2447 Park Avenue, Beloit with Pastor Tom Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday in the Church from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
