Carolyn L. Bills

Carolyn L. Bills age 95 of Beloit passed away on Friday June 21, 2019 in her home. She was the only child born November 21, 1923 to Albert and Myrtle (Lewis) Stockstad in Stoughton, WI. Carolyn attended Stoughton High School. She married William C. Bills on July 20, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa. Carolyn and William were married 70 years until his death an March 6, 2010. She was a navy wife, farmer, homemaker and mother of eight. Carolyn, her husband and children lived in Stoughton, Wilton, Finley and Beloit, WI over a period of many years.

Carolyn was a member of the VFW Post #2306 Auxiliary, as a guard, where she met many former veterans and spouses. She had a happy -go-lucky smile. Carolyn also had many happy mornings with her "Coffee Clutch" friends for many years at Burger King. She also enjoyed her nightly get-togethers with her friends at Olympian Apts. and the Hillside Apts. Carolyn lived for the last 2 1/2 years with Kay and Al Oswald until her death.

She is survived by her eight children, Katherine "Kay" (Al) Oswald of Beloit, Roger (Barbara) Bills of Clinton, Nancy Leonhard of Beloit, WI, Dale (Jean) Bills of Florida, Cynthia (Ron) Bass of Dodgeville, David (Kathleen) Bills of South Beloit, and Denise “Dee Dee” (Duane Dave) Larsen of Beloit, WI; 16 grandchildren, Wayne Oswald, Matt, Jim and Ken Bills, Diane Vigdahl, Bob and Steve Leonhard, Jackie Bass, Jenny Vaske, Dan Bass, Richard Bills, Dave and Mike Bills, Ryan Bills, 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 70 years, William C. Bills, her son, Billy D. Bills, her two grandchildren, Vickie Oswald and Margaret Bills, her son in law, Jack Leonhard, her infant son at birth, Dennis Bills and her loving poodle, Casey.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit Regional Hospice for the care they gave Carolyn.

Carolyn's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2019, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI. Burial will follow in Baldwin Cemetery, Rock Township, WI.
