Darwin D. Kepler

Darwin D. Kepler, age 83 of Beloit died on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born January 19, 1935 the son of Harvey and Elizabeth (Bethke) Kepler in Richland Center, WI. Darwin attended Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1954. He married Donna Lubow on March 12, 1955 in Beloit. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Darwin worked at Fairbanks Morse and also at Warner Electric for 27 years until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed woodworking and creating wooden holiday sculptures for the yard. Darwin also enjoyed the Cubs, Packers and Badgers over the years. He will be remembered as a loving and cheerful husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed a cold beer.

He is survived by his wife Donna Kepler; his two sons, Mark (Cindy) Kepler and Del (Tim Tucker) Kepler; five grandchildren, Brad (April) Kepler, Melody (Shane) Rittenhouse, Lauren (Will) Zerey, Brittany (Brian Keally) Kepler and Christopher Kepler; seven great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Austin, Savannah, Brooklyn, Bryant, Danica and Kassidy and his two brothers, Wilford (Mary) Kepler and Bill (Norma) Kepler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit Memorial Hospital for the care they gave Darwin and his neighbor Jim Singletary for the support he has given the entire family.

Darwin’s Funeral Service will be 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 in the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. David Ewing officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. The cortege will proceed to Floral Lawns Cemetery, South Beloit, IL for interment.
