Dorothy Taylor Obituary

Dorothy M. Taylor age 98 of South Beloit died Wednesday November 27, 2019 in her home. She was born May 21, 1921 to the late Nels and Olave (Ostensen) Renley in Beloit, WI. Dorothy married Owen J. Taylor on February 14, 1944. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1982. Dorothy was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in South Beloit. She worked at Freeman Shoes and Woodward Governor for many years. Dorothy was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing trips and playing cards. She will be remembered as a superb homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Dona (Roger) Berge of Stoughton; her two sons, Lane (Judy) Taylor of Cambridge and John (Jackie) Taylor of Caledonia; 14 grandchildren; many great grandchildren & great great grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara Pugh of Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Owen E. Taylor, her three brothers and her three sisters.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to the staff at Fair Oaks  & Beloit Regional Hospice for the care they gave Dorothy.

Dorothy's Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 in the FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1305 Blackhawk Blvd, South Beloit, IL with Reverend Dr. Richard J. Meier officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial's may be directed to Beloit Regional Hospice.
