John "Jack" Denninger Jr. Obituary

John "Jack" M. Denninger age 88 of Beloit entered his heavenly home on Wednesday January 23, 2019 surrounded by his family in his home. He was born May 20, 1930 to the late John and Hedwig (Naumann) Denninger Sr. in St. Paul, MN. Jack married Rose Marie Stettner on August 11, 1957 in St. Paul Park, MN. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2002. He started his career as a Lutheran Pastor and then worked as a teacher for the WELS for 25 years. In 1982, Jack and Rose moved to Beloit , where he taught at Beloit Catholic, retiring in 2000 at the age of 70. In his retirement, Jack enjoyed keeping busy doing yard work, woodwork and fishing.

He is survived by his second wife, Winnie Pankow, his two daughters, Joy (Kevin) Matlock and Mary (Michael) Klebs; his two sons, Carl (Dorothy) Denninger and Paul Denninger; his four step children, Tom (Sue) Pankow, Julie (Tom) Blaney, Andy (Penny) Pankow and Annie (TJ) Jungwirth; twenty three grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Loney; nineteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all adored uncle Jack.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Rose Marie and his daughter, Ruth Eileen.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit Regional Hospice for the care they gave Jack.

Jack's Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. on Sunday January 27, 2019 at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2447 Park Avenue, Beloit. Burial will be private. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
