Lois West Obituary

Lois E. West age 92 of Beloit died Tuesday October 15, 2019 in her home. She was born November 28, 1926 to the late Lewis and Menota (French) Challoner in Beloit. Lois graduated from Hancock High School, class of 1944. She married Harold E. West on November 30, 1946 in Beloit. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2000. Lois worked at the Wagon Wheel, Beloit Hospital, regal Beloit and North American Tool until her retirement. She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #2306 and FOE Ladies Auxiliary #557.

She is survived by her four children, Jim (Linda) West, Terry (Ken) Lindblom, Bud (Pam) West and Paula J. Shores; her six grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) West, Adrian (Dave) Sunquist, Scott West, Shawn (Kala) West, Margo (Joshua) Young and Heather (Shane) Garthwaite; her siblings, Donald (Donna) Challoner, Gloria (Norm) Cole, Butch Challoner, Joann Challoner and Ken (Mary) Challoner and many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother Lewis Challoner, and two sisters, Deloris Harris and Frances Robinson.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Highview in the Woodlands, Azura Memory Care of Beloit and Agrace Hospice for the care they gave Lois.
