Louise "Gerry" Stocker

Louise "Gerry" Stocker age 93, passed away Saturday December 7, 2019 in her home. She was born September 23, 1926 to the late Otto and Hazel (Kast) Stout in Madison, WI. Gerry attended schools in Reedsburg, graduating with the class of 1943 from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Janesville. On August 6, 1949, she married Charles "Chuck" E. Stocker at Sacred Heart Church in Reedsburg. She was employed by the Beloit Hospital, Yates American as an industrial nurse and was a district school nurse for the South Beloit School District for 25 years. Gerry and her husband Chuck, enjoyed playing cards, bus trips, and cruises. They also enjoyed volunteering in Madison with the READI group, the Salvation Army, and serving fish at Our Lady of the Assumption Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Steve Stocker of Sun Prairie and Tom Stocker of Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, Suzanne (Gordon) Shea of Sun Prairie, Michelle (Joel Gratz) Stocker of Monona, Nicole Stocker of Sun Prairie, and Jonathan (Kim) Stocker of Hudson, OH; her great-grandchildren, Aidan & Madeline Shea, and Brooke Stocker.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

The family would like to thank Debbie Joiner and the staff at Beloit Regional Hospice for the excellent care they gave Gerry.

Gerry's Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Sunday December 15, 2019 in the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Fr. Michael Resop officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday in the Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private. A memorial is being established in her name.
