Mabel E. Paulsen Sonnenberg, age 93, of Clinton, died Monday July 9, 2018 at the Alden Meadow Park Nursing Home. Mabel was born March 6, 1925, the daughter of Peder C and Eline J (Anderson) Paulsen. She attended Clinton Schools and married Lester H. Sonnenberg Sr. on October 30, 1948.
Mabel is survived by 7 children: Claude (Judy) Lolmaugh of Archbold, Ohio, Phillip Lolmaugh of Chandler, AZ, Bruce (Ruth) Sonnenberg, Sharon, WI, Bonnie (Roger) Dearth, Clinton, WI, Cindy (Jim) Korth, Clinton, WI, Lester H. Sonnenberg Jr., Janesville, WI, and James (Gay) Sonnenberg of Delavan, WI. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren Michelle (Monte) Lang, Melissa (David) Griffen, Michael Lolmaugh, Lori Lemmon, Kelli (Joe) Bok, Andrew (Brandi) Lolmaugh, John Lolmaugh, Tim (Candy) Sonnenberg, Dawn (Wade) Nelson, Cory (Mandy) Brown, Angie (Marcel) Dearth, Anita (J.J.) Swartwood, Tonia (Joe) Maly, Matthew (Heather) Korth, Jason Korth, Taylor Sonnenberg, Devin Sonnenberg and Kimberly (Corey) Sense. Mabel is also survived by 28 great grand children & one great great grandchild.
Mabel was a member of the Pella Lutheran Church, the Clinton Fire Department Auxiliary and the Dary-Paulsen American Legion Post No. 440 Auxiliary of Clinton. (The Legion Post was named partially in Honor of Mabel’s Brother Svend Alfred Paulson who was Killed in action on January 15, 1945, during World War II). She also enjoyed working on crafts, crocheting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester Sr. , her two sisters, and her two brothers.

Mabel's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 312 Church Street Clinton with Rev. Bob Schut officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 12, 2018 in the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday in the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Dary-Paulsen American Legion Post 440 in her memory.
