Nicolasa Arriola

Nicolasa Arriola age 95 of Janesville, WI died Tuesday November 26, 2019 in her home. She was born September 10, 1924 to Jose Maria Arriola and Juana Cortes in Michoacán, Mexico. Nicolasa married Petronilo Cortes in San Felipe de Jesus. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2011. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Janesville. Nicolasa prayed the rosary everyday and regularly attended Mass on Sunday and on all religious holidays. She enjoyed horseback riding, swimming and long walks. Nicolasa also enjoyed singing and dancing with friends and family. She was a superb baker and was famous for her delicious cookies!! Nicolasa will be remembered as a loving matriarch who kept the family united.

She is survived by her children, Anita, Alejandrina, Maria, Francisco, Nina, Dago, Lucio, Poly and Lucia; more than 50 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am on Monday December 2, 2019 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 315 Cherry Street, Janesville. Visitation Sunday in the Funeral Home from 4-7 pm and again on Monday in the Funeral Home at 9:30 am to recite the Rosary. Burial at Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
