Ralph Carlson Obituary

Ralph W. Carlson age 92 died Tuesday January 7, 2020 in his home. He was born March 26, 1927 to the late William and Florence (VanGalder) Carlson in Milwaukee, WI. Ralph married Edith M. Mathewson on January 15, 1972. She survives. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ralph worked at GM for 37 years, retiring on 12/31/1982. He enjoyed dancing at the Tiffany Inn and spending time at the family cabin in Philips, WI. Ralph was an outdoorsman, participating in snowmobiling, fishing and deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Carlson; his two sons, Bill (Jackie) Carlson and Curt (Robin) Carlson; his daughter, Peggy (Jeff) Repaal; his step daughter, Linda (Bill) Hackett; eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; his sister, Diane Townsend and the mother of his children, Eleanor Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joyce & Carol.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Beloit Senior Living and Beloit Regional Hospice for the care they gave Ralph.

Ralph's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 11, 2020 in the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI with Rev. Lucy Wynard officiating.  Friends will be received on Friday January 10, 2020 in the Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Saturday in the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Full Military Burial Rites will be accorded in the funeral home parking lot following the service. A memorial is being established in his name.  Interment will be private. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
