Raul Gonzales

Raul Gonzales age 93 of Clinton died Saturday May 26, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born March 30, 1925 to the late Domingo and Faustina (Hernandez) Gonzales in Texas.  He married Matilda Rivera on May 5, 1947 in Texas. They recently celebrated 71 years of marriage. Raul worked as a salesman for 7-Up Bottling Company in Texas but due to the recession moved his family in 1966 settling in Clinton, WI. He then worked for MacArthur Mink Farm, Admiral Corp. and Chrysler Corp. in Belvidere, retiring in 1990. Raul enjoyed golfing and was an active member of the Pan American Golf Association.

He is survived by his wife, Matilda Gonzales of Clinton; his four children, Velma (Art) R. Braband of Beloit, Raul (Becky) Gonzales Jr. of Evansville, Vickie (Donald) Cartwright of Sherwood, WI and Rene (Mary) Gonzales of Fairfax, VA; his fifteen grandchildren, Peter (Gayle) Gonzales, Tina (Jessica) Gonzales, Tony (Jessica) Gonzales, Shawn Gonzales, Suzi Imhoff, Alesha (Jon) Imhoff, David Braband, Teresa (Ray) Gonzales, Rachel Gonzales, Andrina Corella, Ally (Jose) Hernandez, Danny Cartwright, Joe Cartwright, Brett Froeber and Rachel Bennet; eleven great grandchildren, Brady, Nathan, Emery, Sam, Emma Rose, Alexyia, Tony Jr., Joe, Isaac, Sasha and Faith.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dora and his parents.

Raul’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 504 Milwaukee Road, Clinton. Friends will be received on Wednesday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following the service the cortege will proceed to Mount Tabor Cemetery for interment.
