Robert "Rob" J. Spoden

Robert J. "Rob" Spoden age 59 died Tuesday December 4, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital in Pleasant Prairie. He was born July 21, 1959 to the late Robert and Lois (Boschma) Spoden in Janesville. Rob graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1979. He married Diane Wendt on September 12,  1982 in Big Bend, WI. Rob was loved by all, but especially by his wife, Diane Wendt-Spoden.  No one tells stories like he could, or cheers for the Packers like he did, or laughed like he did, or fought like he did.  Rob didn't have an easy day in his life but you wouldn't know it. We would like to think that he could keep everyone on the other side laughing with his outrageous tales and his full-body laugh. Rob was a happy guy with a big heart and an equally big smile He enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock. Rob will be so, so missed by all.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Spoden; his siblings, Theresa (John Heil) Ibarra, Robin Spoden, Kris (Tiffany) Spoden, Rebecca (Scott) Moore and Rachel (Rich) Lee; his in laws, Don  (Mary) Wendt; four sisters in law, Laurie (Jerry) Swan, Kim (Paul) Kysler, Kassy Wendt and Amy (Brian) Dorband and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Lois Spoden, his mother in law, Judy Horn and his brother in law, Brian Wendt.

Rob's Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 11, 2018 in the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in his name.
