Roger Runaas Obituary

Roger O. Runaas, age 88, of Beloit died Monday June 11, 2018 at Beloit Health and Rehab in Beloit. He was born October 25, 1929 to the late Melvin and Thilda (Olson) Runaas in Orfordville, WI. Roger graduated from Orfordville High School, class of 1947. He served in the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge. Roger married Betty Eucker on August 22, 1953 at Luther Valley Church. He worked at Fairbanks Morse for 44 years, retiring in 1992. Roger was an avid golfer and managed to win a few local tournaments over the years! He also enjoyed playing pool, fishing and playing poker.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Runaas; his daughter, Sandra Christner of Janesville; his son, Craig (Candace) Runaas of Spring, Texas; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Pamela (Al) Taylor and his brother, Oliver (Bernice) Runaas.

A Private Family Funeral Service has taken place. Burial will be private. A memorial is being established in his name. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
