Shawn M. O'Grady

Shawn "Animal" Michael O'Grady age 33 died unexpectedly on Thursday December 5, 2019 in his home. He was born May 17th, 1986 to Danny and Jody (Pearsall) O'Grady in Beloit. Shawn graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 2004. He married Amanda L. Smith on October 4, 2019. Shawn was a member of union 601 working as a steam fitter. Shawn’s ability to find a four-leaf clover will be proudly remembered!! Shawn's unique and witty personality could always bring a smile to any face. Shawn enjoyed St. Patrick Day Shenanigans and being a social butterfly. He adored family life, corny Dad jokes, making people laugh and being the life of the party.  

He is survived by his wife, Amanda O'Grady; his daughter, Rianne O'Grady; his step daughter, Emily Bagstad; his parents Danny & Jody O'Grady; his siblings, Jeremy (Jennifer) Cooper and their children, Samantha & Gage, Jessica (Kevin) Hatch and their children, Kaytlyn, Austin, Mason, Steffan & Justin, Erin (Jeffrey) Mericle and their son Johnathan, and Katie (Michael) Howes and their children, Sophia & Abigail; his two aunts, Ryll (William) Williams and DeDe (Roger) Herwig; his three uncles, Mark (Kari) Pearsall, Tim (Sherry) O'Grady and Brian Larson and his grandma, Judy Larson, countless cousins, and his dear friend Terry. 

He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Bert Russel, great grandparents Justin and Barbara Williams, his grandparents, Clarence & Marilyn Pearsall, his grandfather, Dale O'Grady, his grandfather Alvin Larson and his nephew, Tyler Cooper.

A Time to Celebrate and Honor Shawn's Life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday December 14, 2019 in the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway. Viewing and visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home on Saturday and continue until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
