Stanley M. Schaefer

Stanley M. Schaefer, age 73, of Wabasha, MN and formerly of Beloit, WI, passed away on Wednesday December 12, 2018, in St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, Wabasha, MN. He was born July 2, 1945. Stan married Sandra Jean Lee on June 19, 1965, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI. 

Stanley’s career as a machinist lead him to Gilman Engineering Janesville, WI. He was a volunteer fireman, EMT, Arson Investigator with Turtle Fire Department.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri (Douglas) Sparks of Houston, MN and son, Michael (Teri) Schaefer of Wabasha, MN; seven grandchildren, Christopher Sparks of Houston, MN, Jacob Sparks of Winona, MN, Sabrina Babcock of Beloit, WI, Emily Babcock of Houston, MN,  Kyle (Kelly) Schaefer of Milton, WI, Jena Schaefer and Mia Schaefer both of Wabasha, MN; great grandchildren, Kaylie Foley-Schaefer of Janesville, WI, Wyatt Schaefer of Milton, WI, several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home in Wabasha, MN for the care given to Stan.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Schaefer, parents Harvey and Arvilla Schaefer, brother Russell Schaefer, sister Judith Smith, daughter Lisa Babcock, sister in law Dolores Schaefer, brother in law William “Bill” Lee, III, and sister in law Cynthia J. Moore

Stan's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 18, 2018  in the BRIAN MARK Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit WI with Reverend Larry Froemming officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the Funeral Home.
