Thomas "Tom" W. Stevenson

Thomas W. Stevenson age 85 of Beloit died Friday, February 22, 2019 in his home. He was born July 31, 1933 to the late Wade and Modean (Dunn) Stevenson in Dardnelle, Arkansas. He married Rose Chism on December 31, 1954, in Ola, Arkansas. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce, where he honorably served his country in the Korea Conflict. Tom and Rose owned and operated Stevenson's Greenhouse in Beloit for many years. He was employed for 42 years at the Beloit Corporation. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a big fan of country music. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rose, eight children, David (Rebecca) Stevenson, Richard Stevenson, Margaret (Kevin) Martin, Laura (Chad) Carlson, Jeffrey (Tracie) Stevenson, Charles Stevenson, Timothy Stevenson, and Jacob (Laura) Stevenson. Nine grandchildren, Cotey, Dakota, Ian, Devin, Jacob, Karsen, Chandler, Austin and Amber. Six great grandchildren, De'Andre, Ryderr, Kinsley, Levi, Harper and Rowan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mary Sue Stevenson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Beloit Regional Hospice, Dr. Rudisill and Nurses Barbra and Debbie for the care they gave Thomas.

Tom's Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Philip Rice officiating.
