Timothy "Tim" W. Van Marter

Timothy Van W. Marter, age 57 of Beloit died on Monday, October 15, 2018 in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side.  He was born August 14, 1961 to Paul and Barb (Hay) Van Marter in Los Angeles, CA.  He attended FJ Turner High School.  He was a handyman with many traits.  He married Gale Shultz on January 24, 2003.   He was a mover, pool installer, and worked at Pearl Lake for many years, before joining in the family business, Van Marter & Associates, Inc., where he worked as a recruiter, until it closed in 2015.  He then began working as a maintenance man for the School District of Beloit.  He truly loved what he did and always took pride in his work.

Tim was a jokester, prankster and had a wonderful sense of humor.  Always trying and succeeding on the element of surprise and humor.  This will be one of the many things people will always remember and treasure about him.  He was an avid outdoors man.  He loved fishing and hunting with his son, friends and family.  Any chance to be on the lake, or in the woods, he took.  Even up to his last couple of weeks.

He leaves his loving wife of 15 years, Gale Van Marter of Beloit; his son Brant (Nikki) Van Marter and daughter Courtney Van Marter both from Reedsburg, WI.  Step daughters, Jenny (Ken) Berner, Trisha, and stepson, Jestin.  Parents, Paul and Sandra Van Marter, and Barabra and Jerry Roberts.  Sisters Roxana (Brian) Martin, and Laura Gladem of Beloit, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his 3 loving fur babies, Bandit, Junior and Fluffy.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Ricky and Kevin, nephew Colton, father-in-law Robert, brother-in-law Steve and special uncle Wes.

Tim's Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit. Friends will be received on Friday in the Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment to follow in Floral Lawns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
