William "Bill" Pace Obituary

William "Bill" Pace age 88, died Saturday May 4, 2019 peacefully in his home.  William was born October 7, 1930 to the late Dever and Fern (Giles) Pace in Clinton, WI.  He married Rae Hope (Fish) Pace on May 26, 1951 in a double wedding.  William was a plumber for F.B. Reeder's for 42 years and part owner of the Clinton Laundromat.

William was a long time member of the Clinton United Methodist Church where he was in the choir, was a member of the board, served as the board president for many years, and was active in many volunteer projects at the church.  He volunteered for "Meals on Wheels" and was on the 4-H Advisory Board.  He was a member of the Clinton Legion Post 440 and active at the Clinton Senior  Center.  He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.  He was faithful to his God given gifts of helping others where needed.

He is survived by his four children, Cheryl (John) Lund, Arlana (Peter) Richardson,  Dennis (Christy) Pace and Jennifer Otto, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Dale Fish, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rae Hope, his brother Robert, Sister Maxine, three brother-in-laws Norman, Clinton and Thomas, four sister-in-laws Merle, Dorothy, Agnes and Fern, one son-in-law Norman and one great grandson Eli.

The family would like to thank the Clinton EMT Dept. and the Rock County Sheriff's Dept. for their quick response and kindness shown during William's death.

Bill's Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at THE RIVER OF LIFE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 402 Church Street, Clinton with Rev. David Carlson  officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday at Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Following the service the cortege will process to Clinton Cemetery for interment and Full Military Burial Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clinton EMT Dept. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
