Alan V. Wilson

Alan V. Wilson, of Beloit, WI, died on July 17, 2026, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born in Anaconda, Montana, the son of Eanest Clarence and Rebecca Alice (Carey) Wilson. When Alan was 5, they moved to Whitehall, MT, and then at the age of 7 to Butte, MT. The family moved to Wisconsin in 1941 and lived in Sextonville, Richland Center, Benton, Rib Lake, Menomonie and Beloit. He was a 1949 graduate of Menomonie High School and attended Stout Institute. He moved to Beloit to work at Fairbanks Morse. He married Mary Redmond on May 10, 1952, in Beloit, WI.  

Alan was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard from 1949 to 1957, and a member of the Red Arrow Club of Southern Wisconsin. He was an active member of River of Life United Methodist Church and a member of the Janesville Moose Lodge. Alan was a member of the Board of Directors for the Gardner Credit Union for fifteen years, treasurer for twelve and had been a member of several other credit unions in the area. He was interested in anything mechanical and had worked for several local companies in the sheet metal field. After his retirement, he kept active with volunteer and delivery work. He enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends and was a dedicated blood donor, having given over 26 gallons. 

Survivors include his children: Cindy (Mike) Udell, South Beloit, IL; Dawn (Andy) Van Brocklin, Fort Atkinson, WI; Brian Wilson, Beloit, WI; son-in-law Jeff Keller, Marion, WI; and daughter-in-law, Danie Wilson, Sheboygan, WI; siblings, Judy Elzinga, MI; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Alan was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary; his parents; daughter, Denise Keller; son, Kent Wilson; brother, Neil Wilson; sister, Nancy Hirsig; and brother-in-law Alan Hirsig. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 E. Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI 53511.Following services a burial for Alan and Mary will take place at Floral Lawn Cemetery, 855 Dearborn, Ave, South Beloit, IL.
