Ann McMillan Obituary

Ann McMillan, age 62 of Beloit, died on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born July 8, 1962 to Raymond and Genevieve (Benishek) Diedrich in Valders, WI. She graduated from Valders High School, Class of 1983. She then went on to UW Whitewater, where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration.

Ann married Scott McMillan on May 8, 2004. She worked as Company Controller for Monroe Trucking, where she was dedicated to her work and loved what she did.

Ann enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her love of vacationing, with many trips to Kauai, Puerto Vallarta, Hayward, and the Florida Keys. She will be remembered for her love of books. During vacations, she could be found with a stack of books either on the beach or in the cabin, while her husband was out fishing.

Ann is survived by her husband, Scott; her children, Jeremy (Isabella Carns-Andrews) McMillan and Jamie McMillan; her mother Genevieve; her grandchildren Vanessa, Jenna, Knox; her brothers Rich (Kathy) Diedrich and Ron (Paula) Diedrich; sisters-in-law Kim Diedrich and Megan Diedrich; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, family, coworkers who became family, friends, and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her father and her brothers, Roger and Randy.

The family would like to thank the nurses at UW Madison for the special care they provided, the staff at Van Matre Rehabilitation Institute, St. Anthony’s Hospital in Rockford for the care and support provided, Monroe Trucking for their support and kindness, and Brian Mark Funeral Home Staff for the care given to Ann.
