Annette Henz age 93, of Verona, WI and formerly of South Beloit, passed away at home on July 12, 2024.  She was born on February 14, 1931 to Clair & Lillian (Hughes) Aney in Sparta, WI. Annette graduated from Tomah High School, class of 1949. She married James D. Henz on February 11, 1950 at Sparta, Monroe County, WI at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Sparta, WI.  James preceded her in death on January 16, 2012, after nearly 71 years of marriage. Annette was employed at the South Beloit School District, until her retirement. Annette belonged to the Moose in Janesville Lodge #197, the River of Life United Methodist Church, and was a proud Hatter in the The Red Hat Society.

She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, playing cards, going to Polka Fests all over the country, and camping with her family and friends.  She was an avid Chicago Bears fan and devoted Milwaukee Brewers fan.

Annette is survived by her children, Michael (Vicki) Henz and Jacqueline (James) Judon; three grandchildren, Michael Judon, Blake Hodges, and Alissa (Eugene) Ehlen; great-grandchildren, Bre, Marley, Draik, and Charlotte; her foster daughter, Brenda (Bob) Stewart and their 4 children, Justin, Brandon (Amanda), Shalina (Kirk), and Grant; great-grandchildren Jameson, and Payne; her AFS son, Rubin Aquino of Paraguay; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and brothers, Donald & Duane.

Annette’s Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Brenda Whitford officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Following Annette’s service, the cortege will process to Floral Lawns Cemetery Chapel, South Beloit, IL for interment. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
