Audrey Weiss Obituary

On December 27, 2018 The Lord Jesus kept His promise to Audrey when He came and took her through the valley of the shadow of death to Eternal Life with Him in paradise. She was born November 17, 1925 to the late Leland and Eleanor (Mueller) Geier in St. Louis, MO. She attended Cleveland High School, and completed her education at The Comptometer School of St. Louis. Upon graduation in 1949, she worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. Audrey married Walter E. Weiss on October 13, 1951 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2013.  She was a longtime member at St. John’s Lutheran Church active in the Ladies Guild, LWML & Lutheran Layman's League. A true and faithful child of the Lord and Savior, Audrey shared her faith by starting many Bible studies in her home.

Audrey was a homemaker, but more importantly she was a Christian woman. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great grandma (GG), and aunt who will be greatly missed.  Psalm 27 was Audrey's favorite.  Vs. 1 "The Lord is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear?  The Lord is my stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid? "  Vs. 4  "One thing I ask of the Lord, this only do I seek:  that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple."

She is survived by her son, David (Sherri) Weiss; her two daughters, Janet (Dean) Bergelin and Sharon (Daniel) Summers; grandchildren: Andrew (Bethany) Weiss, Amanda (Matthew) Gnirk, Naomi Weiss, Ainsleigh Weiss, Gabrielle Weiss, Rebekah Bergelin, David (Jana) Summers and Kyle Summers;  great grandchildren:  Sophia, Lucas and Liliana Gnirk, Emerys Weiss, Claire, Jack, and Liam Summers; a niece, nephews, cousin, and her friends in her current Bible study as well as those who visited her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her infant son, Walter David Weiss.

The family would like to thank Pastor Dennis Roser for his many comforting visits and the staff of Riverside Terrace for the care provided to their mother.
