Barbara A. Walsh age 90 of Beloit died Friday 7, 2025 at Autum Lake in Beloit. She was born on October 17, 1934, to the late Kenneth and Florence (King) Graham in Durand, IL. Barbara graduated from Durand High School, class of 1952. She married James P. Walsh on February 19, 1955, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Durand, IL. He preceded her in death on December 31, 2018. Barbara was a long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Beloit. She was a devoted homemaker, farmwife, mother and grandmother. Barbara thrived in her homemaker role; she enjoyed gardening & cooking for family events. She was known to be a classy and fashionable dresser and even worked in several formal wear stores in downtown Beloit. Barbara enjoyed watching her 5 grandchildren’s concerts and shows throughout the years.

She is survived by her two children, Terry Walsh and Mary Jo (Stephen) Hering; her five grandchildren, Tiffany (David) Rottinghaus, Stephanie (Fiancé Rob) Hering, Taylor (Yalda) Hering, Grant Hering and Morgan Walsh; three great grandchildren, Wesley, Grady & Ellis James; two sisters, Peggy Fredrickson & Mary Moore and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim, her son Dennis, her brother Jack, her sisters Joan & Nancy.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Autumn Lake and Beloit Regional Hospice for the care and compassion they gave Barbara. A special Thank you to Nurse Connie that took the best care of her for many years.

Barb’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday February 13, 2025, in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, with Fr. Lawrence Oparaji officiating. Friends and family will be received on Thursday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will follow the service at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Durand.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
