Janesville – Betty Lou Hartwich, age 82, passed away on April 15, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, in Janesville, WI. She was born in Iowa City, IA on August 12, 1943, to Andrew and Nina Gleason. She married Allan Hartwich on June 11, 1960; they were married until his passing in 2004.
Betty loved crocheting, baking, camping with her family, picnics, and most of all spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her four children; Harold O. Hartwich, William A. (Julie) Hartwich, Arlene M. (David) Larson, and Jason A. Hartwich, 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers; Roger Gleason and Lyle Gleason, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and 10 siblings.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
