Brian J. Kodl age 56 of Dallas Texas died November 7, 2023, in his home. He was born March 18, 1967, to Milton Kodl Jr. and Betty Karrier in Berwyn, IL. Brian attended Morton High School, class of 1985. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign in 1989. He then attended the University of Texas at Dallas earning his Master of Science in Digital Signal Processing.

Soon after college, Brian started working at Perot Investments in Dallas Texas as a computer programmer. He worked diligently for the Perot group throughout his entire career until his untimely death.  Brian enjoyed walking and spending time with family, especially his two nephews.

He is survived by his brother, Milton J. Kodl III of Beloit, WI; his two nephews, Nathan Kodl of Beloit, WI and Joshua Kodl of Beloit, WI; many friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank all of Brian’s friends, neighbors, and coworkers for all the friendship they offered him over the years.

Private Family services and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name to benefit the Rock Co. Humane Society. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
