Candie Ann Brock, age 69 of Delavan, WI died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Janesville. She was born March 3, 1951 to the late Donald W. and Marilyn M. (Harding) Paulson in DeKalb, IL. Candie graduated from DeKalb High School in 1969. She married Arthur Douglas Brock in DeKalb on July 12, 1969. When Candie and Doug met they both knew they had each met “the one.” They resided in the Dekalb county area until their retirement to Delavan, WI. In her younger years, Candie was a “daddy’s girl,” sang, tap danced, played the piano, roller skated, and played the clarinet in the marching band in high school. She enjoyed dancing at the Elk's club with her husband and her parents. Additionally, she enjoyed line dancing on Saturday nights at Hopkins Park. She liked Elvis and country music and was known to sneak McDonalds into the movie theatre. Candie enjoyed crossword puzzles, cookouts with family, and long boat rides on Delavan Lake looking at all the lakefront properties. She was known for her hearty breakfasts and her love for all her puppies, especially Annie Rose. Candie will be remembered for her big heart and her concern for everyone but herself.
Candie is survived by her husband of 51 years, Doug; daughters, Tena (Michael) Callahan and Andrea (Angel) Gullon; son, Michael Brock; brother, Robert (Theresa) Paulson; daughter in law, Shelley Brock; ten grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Marilyn; son Jason Douglas Brock and infant daughter, Lisa Marie Brock.
The family would like to thank nurses, Kari of the Janesville Mercy ICU and Billy Jo of the Williams Bay Mercy ER for the care and compassion they gave Candie.
