January 7, 1945 ~ December 2, 2023 (age 78) 78 Years Old
Carol Collins age 78 of Beloit died Saturday, December 2, 2023 in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born January 7, 1945 to George and Eleanor (Jacobson) Hoey in Yuma, AZ. Carol graduated from Beloit Memorial High School, class of 1963. She was a superb homemaker and very resourceful in rehabbing & maintaining order in her home. Carol enjoyed many years boating with her friends and family at Lake Lawn and Lake Geneva on the weekends. In her later years, she enjoyed navigating the Rock River on the family pontoon. She loved traveling, especially cruises to Saint Thomas and time spent in Florida. She loved reading and playing board games with friends and family. Carol will be remembered for her kindness and her cooking.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Perleberg; her daughter Cindy (David) Rowe, her grandchildren Zachary and Lisa Perleberg and Kirsten (Alex) Polizzi, her great-grandson KJ, and her brother Gerald (Mary) Hoey and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland Hospice and special friend Dee Alderman for the care they gave our mother.
Carol’s Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2023 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Pastor Randy Wandell officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 12 noon in the Funeral Home until the time of service. Burial to follow in the Floral Lawns Chapel, South Beloit, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
