Carol R Post Obituary

Beloit – Carol R Post, age 76, passed away on June 13, 2026, at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born in Sauk City, WI on April 25, 1950, to Raymond and Elsie Soltwedel. Carol graduated from Clinton High School in 1968. Carol married Richard “Dick” Post on November 20, 1998. She worked for the Avalon Feed Mill for over 30 years. Carol loved her many animals that she had throughout the years including her sheep Maggie and Izzy, their miniature donkey, Jack, and their numerous cats. She enjoyed visiting with the staff at Autumn Lake HealthCare Facility where she resided for the past 3 years and loved frequent visits from her granddaughter and great grandchildren. 


Carol is survived by her stepchildren; Dennis Post, Dan (Lora) Post, Don “Roni” (Beth) Post, her 5 grandchildren; Justin (Brandi) Post and their two children Blake and Jaelyne, Kale (Jen) Post and their daughter Emerson, Devin (TJ) Huffman and their three children Wren, Neil, and Isla, Diane (Craig) Donnelly and their two children Ryan and Caysie, and Greg Post. Her niece Bobbi (Arnie) and her sister-in-law Rita (Leonard) Scharlau. 


She was preceded in death by her husband Dick, her parents, sisters, and niece and nephew.  


The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff members at Autumn Lake including Kathy, Angelia and “the girls” for their thoughtful care of Carol during her time there.  


Private family services will be held with final interment at Mt. Philip Cemetery. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
