Charles “Chuck” Engen age 65, of Beloit, WI died on Tuesday April 29, 2025, at home. He was born in Beloit, WI on April 12, 1960, to Donald and Lois (Bartram) Engen. He attended Beloit Memorial Highschool. Chuck married Lorianne Krajeck on May 16, 1986; in Footville at the Church of Christ.  They’ve celebrated 39 years together.

Prior to his retirement, due to ill health, Chuck worked at ESC and Midstate Concrete. He spent many weekends bartending at The Last Lap in his 30’s and 40’s. These places allowed Chuck to meet people and make lasting friendships. Chuck loved working on cars and projects around the house, he was the “go to” handyman for all his family and friends. He enjoyed mudding, watching the Hallmark Channel, Sunday drives and Root Beer. Chuck was a family man and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

 He is survived by his mother Lois; his wife Lorianne; his children Betheny (Sean) Willi, Charles “Owen” (Taylor) Engen, Katherine Garetson, Emily Engen, and Joshua Johnson. Grandchildren; Logan and Cyrus Nimz, Icyss and Athena Willi, Charles and Harlyn Garetson, Charles “Benjamin” Engen, and Christopher and Jordan Johnson. Sisters; Theresa (Sam) Smith, Cindy (Mark) Kepler, Denise Oehlke. Mother-in-law Mary Krajeck along with many other in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Charles’s Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday May 4, 2025, in the Brian Mark Funeral Home 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit WI 53511 with Pastor David Ewing officiating. Friends will be received on Sunday at the Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
