Charlie Crosby Jr. passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family, friends and the caring hospice team.
He was born February 14th, 1941 in Hampton S.C. to Hagood Crosby Sr. and Lula (Sauls) Crosby. He moved to South Beloit with his family as a child and has lived there ever since. He married Elizabeth M. Chapel on July 7th, 1962. They were married 62 years until her passing November 18th, 2024.
He is survived by his 2 children, Williams H. Crosby and Kari J. Crosby; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister Becky Crosby and a sister-in-law Terry.
He is preceded in death by three brothers, Amos (Bubber), Leon, and Ephrem; and one great granddaughter Brooklynn.
He was employed by the Warner Electric Break and Clutch company until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, making jewelry from rocks and spending time with his family and friends.
A graveside service will on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026 at 2:30PM in the East Lawn Cemetery in Beloit, WI.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
