Beloit – Clarence Furset, age 96, passed away on January 4, 2026, at Beloit Senior Living. Clarence was born on December 18, 1929, in Beloit to Edward and Esther Furset. 

Clarence attended Powers, Roosevelt, and Beloit High School. After marrying Betty Maxon in 1951 they moved to Madison in 1954 to raise their family. He was employed by Eagle Foods, as a store manager in Madison, then in 1984 he retired from the Beloit location after 33 years of employment. After that Clarence and Betty volunteered at Beloit Memorial Hospital for 15 years. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home to visit grandkids and just enjoy traveling. Then in 2004 they gave up the motor home for a home in Edinberg, TX, for the winters. 

Clarence is survived by daughters; Marcia (Bob) Mclinn, Julie Furset, Linda Spencer, and Kathy Furset, son; Jeff (Steph) Furset, 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his wife; Betty, his parents; sister; Regina, in-laws; Frank and Violet Maxson, granddaughter; Regina Yuhas. 

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM, at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, WI 53511. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be held at Floral Lawns Cemetery.
