David O. Groves, 78, of Beloit, passed away on April 16, 2026 at Willowick Assisted Living. He was born on July 3, 1947 to the late Duane and Edith (Bruenning) Groves. David was a Beloit Memorial High School-Class of 1965 graduate. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard from 1967-1973. 

David spent his career working as an erector for Beloit Corporation. Through his work with them, he had the opportunity to travel to every continent in his field of hydraulics and pneumatics. 

David enjoyed golfing, traveling, watching racing, and dancing. He was a private pilot, and in his younger years he enjoyed snowmobiling up north, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. 

Survivors include his children, Bryant (Mayne) Groves and Duane Groves, step-son, Rafael (Jessica) Figueira, one grandson, Lucca Rissato-Groves, brother, Gregory (Cindy) Groves, two nieces, Kali Miller, and Courtney (Ian) Merriman, lifelong friend, Diane Miller, also many cousins, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Willowick III, as well as Beloit Regional Hospice for the care and compassion given to David. 

A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11AM, at Brian Mark Funeral Home- Beloit. A visitation will take place from 10AM until the time of the service.
