David L. Jensen

David LaVerne Jensen, age 68, of Janesville, died Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Agrace Hospice in Janesville. He was born August 13, 1955, to Robert and Ann (Trush) Jensen in Beloit. David graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1973. He was a member of Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church. David worked as a machinist for Stateline Thread Grinding & the Beloit Corp. and then a truck driver until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, taking care of his small farm, and gardening. David loved taking trips across the US and up into Canada on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his significant other Lesley Hernandez, sisters, Christine (Dennis) Pace, Ellen Page (Mike Stearns), Linda Swanson (Bob Pedersen), and his brother Gary (Sandi) Crawley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ken Crawley, Jeff Crawley; stepfather Lyle Crawley; and his beloved dog Barney.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 4th floor of Mercy Hospital and the staff of Janesville’s Agrace Hospice for their amazing care.

David’s Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 16, 2023, at Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church 23184 S. Bergen Road, Popular Grove, IL with Rev. Linda Winkelman officiating.  Friends will be received on Thursday in the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Agrace Hospice in Janesville. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
