Dennis J. Walsh

Dennis J. Walsh age 66 of Janesville died Thursday January 20, 2022 in the Afton House. He was born December 27, 1955 to James and Barbara (Graham) Walsh in Rockford, IL. Dennis graduated from Beloit Catholic High School, class of 1974. He struggled with his mental illness for many years. He is finally at peace with himself resting in God's loving hands.

Dennis is survived by his mother, Barbara Walsh; his brother, Terry Walsh; his sister, Mary Jo (Stephen) Hering; his daughter, Morgan Walsh;  his nieces, Tiffany (David) Rottinghaus and Stephanie Hering; his nephews, Taylor (Yalda) Hering and Grant Hering; his great nephews, Wesley, Grady & Ellis; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is further survived by his two very special friends, Bob Slocum & Scott Denu who were always there for Dennis.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Afton House in Janesville who loved him very much and took such good care of him.

Special thanks to Adele, Dawn and Tammy who loved to take Dennis out for cheeseburgers and root beer floats.

Friends will be received at 1:00 p.m. on Monday January 24, 2022 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit until the time of his Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Durand.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established. Please share a memory or a condolence with the family on our website.
