Donald "Dude" G. Vanden Noven

Donald G. "Dude" Vanden Noven, 85 of Beloit Wisconsin, died on Friday November 2, 2018 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born September 21, 1933 to the late Harry G. and Emmie (Douglas) Vanden Noven in Beloit. Dude graduated from Beloit Memorial School, class of 1951. He served in the U.S. Army as a track vehicle mechanic in Ft. Benning, GA for two years and worked as a quality control engineer in the foundry industry in Beloit & Browntown, WI. On May 2, 1970 he married Joan R. Wise in Galena, IL. Dude was a longtime member of the Star Zenith Boat Club and had been an instructor in Hunter Safety for over 25 years with the WI Department of Natural Resources. He loved to travel in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. As an avid Bucky Badger fan, he traveled to many Bowl games. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and family. Interests included playing cards at the Boat Club, hunting with friends, reading, watching TV and eating Blue Bunny mini swirls at 7:30 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Beloit; his son, Bill (Robin) of Dublin, OH; his daughter, Kathy (Steve) Yates of Bolingbrook, IL; two granddaughter, Kristin and Alyssa; and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Jeanne Baker and his brother, Harry Vanden Noven.

Dude's Funeral Service will be 12 Noon on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Rev. Gene Van Galder officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday in the Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
