Donna Rindfleisch Obituary

Donna Mae (London) Rindfleisch, 89, passed peacefully on November 29th at Theda Care Hospital in Neenah, WI with family by her side. She was born on September 17th, 1936, in Beloit, WI to George Eastman London and Genevieve (Jerome) London. Donna was a graduate of Clinton High School in 1954. After graduation she worked at Beloit Citizens Loan, Fairbanks Morse and the Swiss Colony as a key punch operator, the Clinton Community Schools as the admin to the principal and part-time at Petersen Pharmacy. She met her husband Carl Rindfleisch on a blind date and after Carl’s discharge from the US Navy the two were married on October 6th, 1956.

Donnas was active in the choir and women’s groups at both the First Presbyterian Church and Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church. She was also key in planning each class of ’54 reunions and keeping her “Classie Lassies” active and getting together for lunches and other activities, aka, shopping. Both Donna and Carl were volunteers at the Angel Museum in Beloit until it closed. Donna spent the latter years with Carl at their lake home in Wild Rose WI, where they made many new dear friends including many from the local Amish community.

Donna is survived by her two daughters Cathi Sullivan of Wadsworth, IL and Trish (Mike) Kuehnl of River Hills, WI; grandchildren Noah Sullivan (Andrea Mirchef) Chicago, IL and Sophie Sullivan (Jasper Sanchez) Sherman Oaks, CA She is furthered survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews that fondly called her “Nanny”. She also leaves behind both family and friends who will always remember her friendly and generous ways as well as her gift of gab. Many messages of condolence received by the family mentioned how heaven will be a little less quiet now with Donna there.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl; daughter Carlene; brother George (Elaine) London and sister Elizabeth (Gerald) Westergaard; nephew Terry London and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be held on August 9th at Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church. Visitation is at 1:00 and the memorial service at 2:00. The graveside service will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.

Memorials in Donna’s honor may be given to the Red Mill Waterwheel Foundation. Mail to: The Red Mill, P.O. Box 47, Waupaca, WI 54987. Please mark: In Memory of Donna Rindfleisch. Both Donna and Carl loved to spend their Sunday afternoons at the Red Mill enjoying lattes, Rueben sandwiches and ice cream while enjoying the beautiful setting. The original wheel being restored dates to the mid-1800s.
