Dwight C. Krantz, age 89, of Clinton died Sunday July 2, 2023, in his home. He was born April 5, 1934, to the late Donald and Greneth (Porter) Krantz. Dwight went to Sharon High School and was in the graduating class of 1952. He married his High School sweetheart, Sana Lee, on August 20, 1955, and enjoyed 59 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on January 11, 2014. Dwight loved gardening, cooking and family. He was spectacular at all three. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would always offer a cheery smile to anyone who he thought would return it. He could strike up a conversation with anyone who was lucky enough to cross his path. Dwight was well known for his rhubarb pie and oatmeal cookies, which he never used the same recipe twice to make. He loved watching cooking shows, westerns, and wrestling, but above all else, his Green Bay Packers. He worked as a dairy farmer and later as a maintenance technician at Advanced Machine, but his profession was being a father and grandfather. He has left behind a legacy of love and happiness and will be sorely missed by friends and family.
He is survived by his two daughters, Debra (Curtis) Parker, and their two daughters, Nicole & Cassidy, and Dixie (Kevin) Kalk of Clinton and their three daughters, Brittany (Jordan) Rotz, Hannah & Elizabeth. He is further survived by his sister Janet (Paul) Vogt, of Roscoe, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Lake Geneva Manor for the care they gave Dwight.
Per Dwight’s request, no formal funeral services will be held. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared on our website.
