Elaine London

Elaine London age 87 died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Willowick Assisted Living in Clinton Elaine was born October 30, 1928 to the late Clarence A. and Laura E. (Voelz) Krebs in Clinton. She married George E. London on September 29, 1946 in Clinton. Elaine graduated from Clinton High School, class of 1946. Elaine was a lifelong member of Christ Ev. Lutheran Church. She sang in the Church choir, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Women’s Society, Bible Study and Alter Guild. Elaine served as a Cub Scout leader and as a 4-H leader for many years. She worked at Hansen Law Firm and for the State of Wisconsin. Elaine’s husband, George was the "Love of her Life" and "Best Friend". They were High School Sweethearts and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. Her Church and Family were the most important things to Elaine. She will be fondly remembered as a caring & loving homemaker, mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, George London; her son, Larry (Denise) London of Clinton; her three grandchildren, Todd (Cindy), Tawnya (Steve) Self and Travis (Kathy); seven great grandchildren, Lindsi, Tanner, Kasia and Jackson London and Jakob, Jasmyn and Jarrett Self; her sister, Dolores Aarud of Clinton; her brother & sister in law, Carl (Donna) Rindfleisch; cousins and many good neighbors and friends in Clinton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Lee London, brothers in law, Raymond Aarud and Gerald Westergaard and her sister in law, Betty Wetergaard.

The family would like to thank the staff at Willowick Assisted Living & Beloit Regional Hospice for the care they gave Elaine.

Elaine’s Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2016 in CHRIST Ev. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 High Street, Clinton with Rev. Gary E. Schockman officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit and again on Saturday at Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow the service in Eastlawn Cemetery in Beloit. Memorials may be directed to Christ Ev. Lutheran Church or Beloit Regional Hospice.
