Grant V. Koenig

Grant V. Koenig, age 89 died Sunday, August 27, 2023, in his home.  He was born September 19, 1933, in Wausau, WI., to Clarence and Leola (Schumacher) Koenig. Grant graduated from Edgar High School, class of 1954. He married Caroline Kauss on October 24, 1970, in Medford, WI. Grant was a Clinton area resident for many years and an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, WI.  He was employed at Chrysler as a material handler for 33 years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and outdoor cookouts. Grant also enjoyed family time and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

Surviving him are his two sons, Monte (Melissa) Koenig and Ryan (Maria Dahlke) Koenig; his sister Gloria (Rick) Rathke, brother-in-law, Steve (Barb) Kauss, nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Oren, and niece, Laura.

Grant’s Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday September 1, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street, Delavan with Rev. Jonah Burakowski officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Koenig family.
