Ione K. Reetz, 102, of Beloit, died Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at The Bay at Beloit Nursing Home.  

Ione was born September 23, 1923, in Eau Claire, WI the daughter of Herbert W. and Emma S. (Miller) Lemke. 

Ione worked for JC Penny for 25 years. She and her husband Ed moved to Hayward after their retirement where they lived on the Chippewa flowage enjoying fishing and boating. Ione moved back to Beloit after the death of her husband. 

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy (Gerry) Simon of Racine and Cindy Baier of Janesville; three sons, Steve (Paige) Reetz of South Beloit, IL, Larry (Lori) Reetz of Oxford, and Tim Reetz of Beloit; five grandchildren, Rachel (Aaron) Holschbach, Scott (Heather) Garrison, Geoff (Nikki) Simon, Ed Reetz, Kim Simon and six great grandchildren; Gage, Macy, Noah, Matilda, Caleb and Grace. 

Ione was preceded in death by her husband Edmund; daughter Judy Reetz; and sister Elvera Farley. 

A special thank you to all the staff at The Bay and to Agrace Hospice for her care. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be private at Eastlawn Cemetery.
