Jacqulen "Jackie" Klein Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jacqulen Beth Klein, age 70, left us on December 1, 2024, surrounded by her beloved family. Jacqulen, affectionately known as Jackie, was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.

Jackie was born on December 20, 1953, to Clarence and Joyce (Gleason) Odegard in Milwaukee, WI. She grew up in a home filled with warmth and laughter, alongside her siblings: JoAnn, Clark, Jody (Duane), Jolene (Terry), Clinton, Alice and Odin (Heather). She was preceded in death by her father Clarence Odegard, her mother Joyce Odegard, her sister Joann Odegard, her brother-in-law Paul Naber, and her niece Pamela Saari.

On August 5, 1972, Jackie married the love of her life, Alan Walter Klein. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and partnership, spanning over five decades. Together, they built a life rich with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Jackie’s career was marked by dedication and a strong work ethic. She began her professional journey working part-time at Hahn's Grocery Store in downtown Clinton before taking a CNA position at Meadow Park Nursing Home, where she served for the next ten years. Her passion for helping others led her to become a Medical Assistant at the Clinton Clinic, working alongside Dr. Lauth. Driven by her desire to further her skills, Jackie went back to school to become an LPN and then an RN at the Beloit Clinic, where she worked with Dr. Wang.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jackie served her community as a volunteer EMT, dedicating over 25 years to the Clinton EMS. Her commitment to helping others was a testament to her compassionate and selfless nature.

Jackie is survived by her devoted husband, Alan; her four children: Christopher (Darla), Tracy, Tanya (Patrick), and Jeremy (Billiejo). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Brenden, Cameron (Ben), Rebecca (Issac), Brittany (Anthony), Carter, Bethany, Madison, Casey, Zachary (Scarlet), Erik, Calee, and Caylin. Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren, Leon and Bernard.

Jackie had a special love for all her nieces and nephews. If you were able to hang out with Jackie by the bonfire, there was no doubt you had the time of your life.

Jackie loved traveling around the United States with her husband Al and taking the grandkids on memorable vacations, which often included learning about the history of the areas they visited. She had a passion for quilting and baking cookies during the holidays, and there was always someone fighting over the last brownie. Jackie made several dear friends throughout the years, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jackie’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Jackie’s Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday December 7, 2024 in the BRIAN MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit with Chaplain Mark Maxted officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
