Jeanie Anne Melaas of Janesville, WI, passed away peacefully Dec 30th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and family pride. She was born on October 25, 1943, in Portage, WI.
She was a lifelong Wisconsin resident, where she attended Whitewater High School before continuing her education at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
Jean devoted many years of service to the Beloit School District, where she worked until her retirement on August 1, 2004. Her commitment to education and the people she served reflected her strong work ethic and caring nature.
Jean made her home in Janesville, Wisconsin, & enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the long-lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
Jean enjoyed traveling and shared many memorable casino trips with family and friends, especially treasuring her visits to Las Vegas. She was immensely proud of her family and all of their accomplishments, celebrating each milestone with joy and pride. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice that caught the attention of her beloved husband, Mike. Together, Jeanie and Mike created a family full of wonderful people and spread their love to anyone they encountered, making them so special. They will be missed dearly, but the Melaas family rests easy knowing that they have been joined together in eternal peace.
