Jeffrey Hammerlund, age 67 of Beloit, WI died on Monday, July 29, 2024 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born October 12, 1956 to Charles and Marion (Kenellis) Hammerlund in Elgin, IL. He graduated from Crown High School, Class of 1975. 

Jeffrey started college at Southern Illinois University and then continued his education in Law School at ISU. Jeffrey married Amanda Zimmerman on October 20, 2016. Jeffrey worked for many years in Algonquin, IL, as a Criminal Defense Attorney (and a little bit of everything), and later in Wisconsin, until his retirement.

Jeffrey was passionate about Dungeons & Dragons, while also belonging to the Historical Miniature Gaming Society, and spending many years attending Gen Con. He was known for his love of the Chicago Cubs and a good steak dinner out with his wife.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Amanda; his children Bryan and Sarah; his sister Melanie (John) Orandorf; his bother Michael Hammerlund; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jill Hanson.

The family would like to thank his best friend Harold Johnson and life-long friend of over 60+ years Jeff Winkie for their years of friendship and loyalty to Jeffrey.
