Jennifer Lynn Davenport Obituary
Beloit, WI - After 61 years of trudging through a never-ending jungle of challenges - Jennifer Lynn Davenport made it to paradise on May 1st, 2026.
In the final month of her life, when all her worst fears came true following open heart surgery, she powered through, often with a smile on her face, like she’s done countless times.
Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on February 17, 1965, Jennifer’s early years were spent in trips to Mayo Clinic. It took 4 years before she could walk. “I can and I will” was her favorite saying. She went on to prove it the rest of her life.
Jennifer graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1983 and went on to work many years in child care. She most loved helping kids who needed the most help.
The brightest light in her life was dating, marrying and loving Brian Davenport with all her heart. Jennifer’s beautiful wedding and reception by the river was the happiest day of her life. When Brian passed in 2015, Jennifer’s sadness was lifted by coworkers and customers at Big Lots where she then worked for 9 years.
Simple things in life kicked up the dopamine in her brain. Driving down the road with 80’s music blaring put her in her happy place. She could name that tune in 4 notes every time. A slice of Rocky Rococo on the other end was the perfect day.
No one loved Queen more than Jennifer. “Love of my life” was her favorite song. Seeing Queen in concert twice changed her life. But it didn’t take big stuff to make Jennifer happy. A Brewers game. A slot machine. A bar band. Throw in a trip to Red Lobster. Heaven on earth.
And now she’s in the real heaven, where she has an interesting situation. Jennifer was always happier than all the people around her- most of whom had so much more. We believe she’ll still find a way to lift up everyone around her.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother Susan Boel, and her husband Brian Davenport. Jennifer is survived by her father, James Boel, brother, John (Brenda) Boel and their daughters Kelsey (Adam) and Brianna.
A memorial service will be held at Brian Mark Funeral Home, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit WI on Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 1 PM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the time of services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
