JoAnn L. Hopkins age 87 died Thursday February 20, 2020 at Beloit Memorial Hospital. She was born July 19, 1932 to the late John and Gertrude (Landsworth) Fredendall. JoAnn graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1950 and continued her education becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked with Dr. Thomas Lang until her retirement in 1997. She married James A. Hopkins on April 28, 1951 in Beloit, WI. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2010. JoAnn enjoyed worldwide travel, candles and teddy bears. She is fondly remembered for her sweet tooth, especially chocolate and she enjoyed dining out. JoAnn was a Lioness and was very active with her husband in Lions International.
She is survived by her three children, Deborah (Thomas) Rasmussen, Michael Hopkins, and Darcy (Scott) Johnson; five grandchildren, Christen (David) Lucht, Kimberly (Kyle) Dahlberg, Daniel (Tammy) Hopkins, Nicole (Dave Gerber) Johnson and Brittany (Brock) Morlan; nine great grandchildren, Eric, Hayden, Ethan, Veronica, James, Jonathon, Lucy, Lola and Kasen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson Robert Hopkins and a brother Gerald Fredendall.
